A clearer view of one public traffic feed

This project begins with a narrow promise: make accidents reported through LTA’s Traffic Incidents feed easier to see now and over time.

Why start here

The longer-term question is personal: how can parents better understand routes used by children travelling independently? That question needs dependable evidence before it needs recommendations. This MVP therefore focuses on collection quality, incident continuity, and honest presentation.

What this map can show

It shows accidents currently present in the LTA feed and accidents this service observed during its own collection history. You can inspect the last 24 hours, seven days, or 30 days, and share the current map position through its URL.

What it cannot show

It cannot tell you whether a route is safe, rank dangerous roads, establish accident severity, or identify injuries, fatalities, or pedestrian involvement. It is not a substitute for official emergency information or real-time travel judgment.

A higher number of observed incidents does not automatically mean a road is inherently more dangerous.
